A rabbit, trapper at Southernnoldi (Tasmania) named Percy Shaw was last month fatally shot by his seven-year-old son. Trooper Gore went to tihe scene of the occurrence, and found the body of Shaw lying about 50 yards away from his house with a large wound in his right breast. It appeared that Shaw was about to go rabbit shooting, and handed a loaded doublebarrelled gun to his son to hold whilst he let a dog off the crain.
