Is half the cure of the complaint* Treatment that removes the cause is the only sane treatment as this case shows* * *— Sufferers from Neuralgia must come to the point of considering just what causes Neuralgia, before they can expect to be cured. The curing of a complaint always consists in removing what causes the trouble. We are told by the best medical writers that Neuralgia is an irritation or inflammation of a nerve. The term Neuralgia is commonly applied to the nerves of the face. The irritation results from a generally low state of health caused by Anaemia. Hot fomentations and applications are of use only to relieve the sharp, darting pains. The cure consists in restoring the nerve to its normal state by tonics. In Neuralgia much success has been achieved from the use of Dr Williams’ Pink Pills. They are a standard tonic, and they help the formation of new blood* and it is from the blood that the nerves' derive their nourishment. In the case of Mrs C. Bergstrom, Hardinge road. Ahurin, Napier, the Neuralgia followed a general run-down state of health. Mis Bergstrom said: — “ I was a martyr to acute Neuralgia. It came on without warning, and for, no apparent cause. I’d be fairly crazed with jumping, burning attacks in my temples and over my ears. I wonder my hair didn’t turn grey. Every nerve in my head seemed on lire. If it were warm I had it worse. Many a night I’d have to sit up in bed for hours. I lost all my colour, my lips, gums, hands, and cheeks were absolutely blanched. All my strength seemed to go. I was in business at the time, and when I used to go homo up Shakespeare road I’d be so tired out with, the short distance that I’d have to sit down and rest half a dozen times. My appetite went right away. I had to b© coaxed to eat, as Indigestion always came on. I’d fool a heavy weight on the chest and between the shoulder-blades. I’d feel so tight on the chest that I could hardly breathe. Almost directly after eating I’d be attacked, and these pains would l last for hours. I had such a craving for dry things —like rice and starch and tapioca—that mother would have to lock them up from me. Pickles and lemons I fancied, too. My hands wore always clammy, and so deadly white I hated to look at them. I often had a feeling that I was going to faint. I was very low-spirited and always fairly fagged out. I had no strength at all- With any exertion I got a dry, hacking cough that worried mother very much. She thought I was going into a decline. My blood must have been very thin. If I out myself no bleed would run—only water. I was ailing like this for about three months, when I started Dr Williams’ Pink Pills. They cured me, and I _ don’t think you would find anyone in Napier in better health than I am.’’ It is well to remember that it was Dr Williams’ Pink Pills, and not an imitation, that cured Mrs Bergstrom. _ Getting the genuine is an important tiling in a cure. They are sold_ by most chemists and storekeepers, or will be sent direct by the Ur Williams Medicine Co. of Australasia (Ltd.), Wellington, on receipt of price —3s per box, six boxes 16s 6d.
