CENSURE MOTION DEFEATED. SYDNEY, September 26. Mr Wade was banqueted last night by the Liberal party. The proceedings were most enthusiastic. - In the course of a strong fighting speech Mr Wade claimed that the party was thoroughly united, and prepared to take the field in an appeal to the.country, which the existing situation demands. In the Assembly to-day Mr Wade moved a vote of censure on the ground that the Premier's statement regarding public business was unsatisfactory and at variance with previous statements made on behalf of the Government, and constituted a breach of faith. In the original count Mr Perry (J-iibenal) was given a majority of three. Another election is probable. During the oensure debate Mr Wood again came in conflict with the Speaker, and was removed from the House. September 28. The proceedings in the New South Wales Assembly continue stormy. The Speaker's rulings ore repeatedly challenged. Mr Wade's motion of censure was negatived by two votes. A month's Supply Bill was passed.
