BREACH AT INVERCARGILL. ■ INVERCARGILL, August 15. Jamas M'Watt, a second-hand dealer, was charged at the Invercargill Police Court to-day with keeping liquor for sale in a no-license distract. The evidence showed that in two months the defendant procured 40 gallons of beer. He was fined £3O. GORE, August 17. In the Magistrate's Court to-day Matthew Cross, fishmonger, was charged with, on July 26, selling liquor in the nolicense electorate of Ma tour a. Mr Hanlon appeared for the accused. After hearing tho evidence Mr Young, S.M., convicted the accused and inflicted a fine of £SO and coets (235). Leave to .appeal was granted. A further charge of keeping liquor for sale was withdrawn without prejudice, and a charge of selling on July 2 was dismissed, the police offering no evidence.
