CALCUTTA, August 7
The judge, disagreeing with the assessors in the Dacca conspiracy oases, who found the 42 prisoners not guilty and said that the police evidence was unreliable, sentenced three of them to transportation far life, acquitted five, and committed the remainder to various terms of imprisonment.
August 9.
The Howrah bridge and Hughli shipping have been in great danger during the last 24 hours through eight barges, filled with burning straw, being floated down the river. It is said to be the work of Anarchists.
