He goes on to say: “I am using a six-cow plant, and the upkeep for the whole time has been between £9 and £lO. I RECKON THIS WOULD TAKE A_ LOT OF BEATING. The machine milks the cows fast and strips them out well, right through the season. Compared with hand-milking, we now have no bother with sore teats. I have seen some-machines where the cure fall off badly, especially at this time of the year.
