A resident of Taura.nga district lost a horse i,n a singular and unexpected way the other day. He was driving a cow along the main road, when he had occasion to rid© off the thorough fare, where the horso came in violent contact with a standing and sharpened stake, which pierced the heart, causing the animal’s death in a few minutes.
