PLAGUE IN AUCKLAND.
AUCKLAND, May 29
A case which was at first thought to be typhoid fever when admitted to the Auckland Hospital, has now been diagnosed as bubonic plague. The patient, a man, though seriously ill, is not considered to be in a dangerous condition. It ie reported l that some rats alleged to be plague-infested, have been found in oelkrs adjoining Queen street.
