A member of the Taranaki Hospital meeting of that body recently said he knew of one Maori “ tangi ” at which two Natives who had died of consumption had been kept unburied for the better part of a fortnight. The Nelson Colonist states that Mir Arthur M'Keo has received a letter from the Hon. T. Mackenzie, Minister for Agriculture, intimating that the Government had decided to arrange for the planting forthwith of an exDerirenmental area at Tasman for the co-operative testing of fruit trees.
