DECEASED PERSONS' ESTATES.
WELLINGTON, March 1. The estates of 243 deceased persons were certified for stamp duty during February, the largest being that of Dr Hock en, Dunedin, £39,577. The following is a list of the Dunedin estates: —-Robert Blair, £8133; James Robertson, £4201 j David C. Hutton, £3932; Francis H. Townsend, £2412; Jessie Higgins, £1946; John Pringle, £1586; Margaret Stevenson, £1537; Walter A. Gellibrand, £1487; William Binnie, £1335; Samuel Welsford, £1082; Henry Moyes, £1059 ; John Campbell, £943; Janet Dunn, £926; George Turner, £752; Mary Gartshore, £702; Christopher Devine, £516. The following Southland estates were certified for stamp duty:—John Fordo, £12,879; John M'Donald, £4678; Robert Anderson, £3280; Helen Newman, £1327; Margaret Batger, £1255; William Peterson, £795; Julia Donoghue, £604; Elsie Bower, £574.
