MOVEMENTS OF OCEAN-GOING STEAMERS. The Delphic, from Liverpool for New Zealand ports, vifi Sydney, was signalled from Cape Otway on October 25. The Arawa, from London, arrived at Hobart on October 27. She landed 44 passengers, and left for Wellington with 455 of her original passengers, on the 23th ult. The Earl of Carrick, from New York via Newcastle, arrived at Auckland on October 30. The Pakeha left Port Chalmers on Friday for northern ports to complete the discharge of her inward cargo. The Kaikoura was taken into the Otago Dock at Port Chalmers last week for cleaning and repainting. She will probably proceed to Timaru this week to take in Home loading. The Otaki having completed the discharging of inward cargo at Lyttelton and the Bluff, has returned to Port Chalmers, and is berthed alongside the Papanui to wait for the wool season. Before reaching Honolulu she encountered a heavy gale, lasting two days, and necessitating a reduction in speed.
