Winnipeg has displaced Minneapolis as the premier grain market of North America, over 88,000,000 bushels of wheat having been marketed there during the year ended August 31. The Church Missionary Society has received an anonymous gift of £4OOO for the purpose of sending out a number of njew missionaries*" who, owing to a lack of funds, wore likely to have been kept back from the mission field this autumn.
