WELLINGTON, October 27. At the annua! meeting of the New Zea land Veterans' Association. Colonel Newall presiding, considerable correspondence wa£ read regarding the petition recently presented to the Government in support of the application for a military pension of 10s per week for all Maori war veterans in lieu of "the Pensions Delegates were air-satisfied that the petition had not been presented to the House. It was decided that owing to the veterans not being armed and uniformed, they would not in future parade as a guard of honour. It was also decided that it was not the wish of delegates to extend the time (1870) to enable certain applicants to get tha, Ntw Zealand war medal.
