TRAINED NURSES' ASSOCIATION.

The annual meeting of the above association was held in the association's rooms on Thursday evening. Dr Will (president) was in the chair, and there was a large attendance of members. The annual leport recorded a most successful year; the increase in membership amounted to 25. The financial statement was also very satisfactory. The President then announced the result of the election of officers for the ensuing vear, which had been conducted by mail ballot, each name as read beinc greeted with applause:—President. Dr Will (reelected) ; vice-presidents—Dr S. Batchelor (re-elected) and Miss A. M. M. Thomson; hon. treasurer. Miss L. A. ,Shukle r «rd; hon. secretary, Miss N Hav; councillors—Mrs M. Milne. Miss M. H. Griffiths. Mr« E. M. Brew (re-elected). Miss J. Cdrmick, Miss E. T. Barclay, and Miss M. Bagley. Votes of thanks were recorded to the doctors who had given lectures to members; to Mr Peter Barr. for his services as auditor; to Mr Ix)gie, who acted as scrutineer; to Mrs Fraser, for her very able management as president of the Social Committee: to Nurse Barclay, who is retiring from the office of treasurer, a post she has filled from the inception of the association with irreat energy and satisfaction. Feeling reference was made by the president to the loss of three of the members during the year by death—Dr Hocken. Dr Blomfield, and Mrs James (nee Nurse Carmichael).
