SYDNEY, October 27. The Minister of Lands has made it clear that the abolition of the freehold in land will apply only to future dealings. The Government is considering an amendment of the Industrial Disputes Act, and will move that its coercive provisions bo repealed. IVIr Griffiths is gathering information with a view to starting Government brickworks and distributing the product by means of the tram service at night time after the passenger traffic is over. He says that bricks are required by various Government departments in sufficient numbers to keep large works going continuously.
