'A hockey match between Otago and Oamaru olubs was played at Oamaru on Friday afternoon before a fair gathering of spectators. Oamaru won the . toss., and the play during the first half was in favour Of Otago, who scored two goals, through Robinson and Newtota, while Oamaru Sailed to score. During the second half, lowever, Oamaru osse'rted themselves, and Were soon on eoual terms with their opponents, Olark and Aitken ep<p scoring a goal- The game, taken an through. was of an even, nature, and a draw of
two goals each was a fair indication of the play. Mr Jarman refereed to the satisfaction of all. —North Otago Times. WELLINGTON v. MANAWATU. WELLINGTON, June 3. The representative hockey match Wellington v. Manawatu was played here today, and was won by Wellington by two goals to nil. A match between Wednesday teams representing the same* places was won by Wellington by two goals to one.
