CHARGE OF FORGERY.
YOUNG MAN COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. WELLINGTON, Anril 20. In the Magistrate's Court Sidney Diamond, a young- man, was charged with having committed forgery in regard to a document purporting to be a proposal of assurance in the A.M.P. Society. Elsie Elizabeth Sime deposed that at accused's request she signed a paper to become, as she supnosed, a member ot the society. The signature on the proposal produced was not hers. After hearing .evidence, Mir Rildell. S'.M., said the evidence conflicted and the case must go to a jury. Accusal was committed for trial. Bail was \U >wed.
