Davidson, claim £1 10s 6d, balance of account (costs ss); National Mortgage and Agency (Mr Bundle) v. William Edwin Burley (Christchurch), claim £3 14s sd, for . goods supuJied (costs 10s); D.I.C. (Mr Thomson) v. Thomas A. Lindsay (Otautau), claim f <67 14s 7d, for goods supplied (costs £1 13s ; sd); Johnston, Sons, and Co. (Mr Scantlef bury) v. Thomas Lindsay B. Fee (Christ- £ church), claim £5 15s, for books supplied f (costs 10s); Suburban Coal Company (Mr f Thomson) v. Edmund Cormick, claim 8s •!. 3d, on account stated (costs 6s); Stone, Son, ! and Co. (Mr Scantlebury) v, Barns, Butler, . and Son (Wanganui), claim £1 10s for adU ivertising (costs ss); Donald Reid and Co. (Mr Statham) v. Charles Joseph Little, claim £1 ss, for books supplied (costs 6s). . _ A_ Defended Case.—David Blair (Mr Irwin) sued George Martin, farmer (Mr Bundle), to recover the sum of £45 ss, being wages (£l9 ss) and hire of horse (£26). —Defendant counter-claimed for £l9 10s lOd, for services rendered, grazing, damage to machinery, and labour. —Evidence having been given, at length, plaintiff’s counsel urged that the counter-claim should be set off against the horse hire claimed.—This his Worship decided to do, and gave judgment for plaintiff for £l9 6s, with costs (£5 25. )
