LIST OF DEFECTIONS. An unusually large number of unions are apparently indifferent to the benefits alleged to ba conferred upon them by the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act. The following (says the Dominion) is a list of those unions, which are given six weeks' notice of the deputy registrar's intention to cancel their registration under the act, as the result of their neglect to comply with the conditions imposed on unions that wish to exist subject to the act: The Federated Seamen of New Zealand Industrial Association of Workers, situated at Wellington.
