At the Addington yards to-day there was a largo entry 61 ail classes of stock, and there was a good attendance. Store cheep met with a good sale; and fat lambs were- firm, tegs showing a rise. Fat cattle were without change, and pigs were dull of sale. Fat sheep showed a rise in price.. Store cattle were dull of sale, and I dairy cows were in moderate demand. i The yarding of store sheep was not I quite as large as was the case last week, ; and the offerings were mostly of back- | ,ward sorts. There was a keener demand I for ewes, and they sold at an advance of V is per head, while rape lambs were down I a similar amount. There was no change. ! in wethers. ~ Two-tooth ewes made 14s to I 16s 6d; four-tooth, 13s to 17s; and soundI mouthed, 10s 9d to 15s; forward wethers, "' 13s to 14s; others, 8s lid to lis 6d; for;,ward lambs, lis to 12s 2d; others, 7s 8d "to 10s 6d. There was again a large yarding of fat lambs, totalling 8149 head, and including some good lines of tegs. There was also a proportion of inferior and unfinished lambs. There was a keen demand for all .;well-finished lots, and tegs showed an advance of about 3d to 6d per head. There was a fairly large yarding of fat eheep, the greater portion being ewes. There was a good demand for all descriptions, and prices were'firmer all round. ; The range of prices was:—Prime wethers, 15s 3d to 18s 2d; lighter, 13s 3d to 15s; prim© ewes, 12s 6d to 16s lid; others, 10s 6d to 12s; merino ewes, 8s Id to 8s 7d. '■ The entry of fat cattle totalled 280 head, which were mostly sent in by dealers. Heifer beef was in rather better 'demand, but on the _ Whole there was little or no change in values. Steers realised-£6 17s 6d to £ll ss; heifers, £5 5s to £7 17e 6d and cows, £4 2s to £8 15s—equal to 19s 6d to 22s 6d for prime, 18s to 19s for medium, and 15s 6d to> 17s 6d for cow and inferior per 1001 b. Veal calves made from 3s 6d to 525, and up to £3 16s for extra large. There was a large entry of store cattle, •but they met with a slow sale. Eighteen months old sorts made 20s to o3s, and

\ three-year-old stores sold up to £5 15s. i Dairy" cows made £3 8s to £9 15s. There was a largo entry of pigs, and I they met with a dull sale throughout. : Baconers brought 44s to 52s—equal to !to 3gd per lb; porkers, 32s to 43s—equal i to 4gd to 4i-d per lb; large stores, 25s to i 325; smaller, 14s to 18s; and weaners, 6s |to lis 6d. A line of 50 good stores from | Hanna Bros. Southbridge) changed hands ! at 31s.

CENTRAL PRODUCE MART (LTD.) Report for week ending Saturday, March 19. Business has been quiet the past week. In our fruit department large quantities of apples and pears have come forward, but unfortunately the demand has been limited, retailers stating that sales have been confined to the- very choicest of fruits, jam and small lines being neglected. At present we find it difficult to quit cooking, apples and pears ,at satisfactory prices, and have had to avail ourselves of the demand) for pulping fruits to clear stocks. Large quntities of potatoes have been arriving consigned to our firm, and for these we have had good shipping orders, and cleared all our lines suitable for this purpose immediately they arrived. Poultry have also come to hand freely, and good sales have resulted for all prime birds. Eggs have also come to hand in large numbers, and the market has been rather firmer, but so far no advance in price. We look forward to this any day, especially for good, guaranteed lines. Butter is in keen demand, also all lines of produce, oats, chaff, and fowl wheat having keen inquiry. The following report will be presented to shareholders in the Dunedin and Kaikorai Train Company at the fifteenth annual I meeting:— | " The shareholders are co be congratulated on the present position of the company.
