The following have been elected members of the Vincent Hospital and ChaYitable Aid Board: —To represent Vincent County—Messrs M. Hoaney, J. Jameson, J. Horn, J. Smart, W. Laidlaw, and C. Weaver; to represent the Boroug-h of. Alexandra, Mr H Schaumann; to represent the Borough of Cromwell, Mr J. Ritchie. Some indication of the nature of the drought which has been experienced this season in South Otago and portions of Southland' has'' been furnished to the School ...'.Commissioners in a number of applications which have been received from tenants of education reserves in thosa districts asking for assistance by remission of rent. The commissioners have resolved to personally visit the Wendonside district in connection with those applications, and, while in that part of the country, will alsr attend to other business.
