Stifahoff, a Bulgarian, having abducted a.Mussulman girl, the courts decided thatj being a minor, she must be returned to her parents. .*'"» The populace at Rustchuk supported Stifahoff's resistance to the decree, and a xiot ensued, in which the police killed 16 and wounded a hundred others, many seriously. The Minister of the Interior, is widely blained, and likewise the police and \iriilitary at Rustchuk for over -zealously and culpably .executing the order of the court in the face of the public excitement. The temps have been reinforced. ■ . King Ferdinand is reported to bo much upset by the incident.
