EXPORT OF GOLD AND SILVER.
_ WELLINGTON, March 3. _ ihe quantity of gold exported from tbs Dominion during the month of February was 36,8480 z, valued at £146,311. as com-' pared with 41,2630 z, valued at £163 862, for February, 1909. The exports from the various centres were as follow, those for February, 1909, being given in parentheses : —Auckland —24,6160 z, £95 628 ( n^A 94B ° Z ’ £S8 ’ 312 > 5 Greymouth—lo,3lsoz. £40,151 (71280 z, £28,443); Dunedin—--7410z, £2964 (66780 z, £27.062): Invercargill—ll7Boz, £4588 ;25100z, £lO 045) foTn two months ended February", 1 818 ’ the total export of gold was 77,527°z, valued at £308,239, as against t7,2300z, valued at £309,716 for the corresponding two months of 1909. Last i/ioca/i tIG S j lver ex l >c>rtecl amounted to valued at £14,262, as against 154,2580 z, valued at £15,380. For Janunnn orw* F ebruary the silver export was 299,8960 z, valued at £29,964, as compared with 198.6840 z, valued at £19.807, for January and February of 1909.
