The Post and Telegraph Department has consented to allow Lawrence telephone subscribers to connect with Dunedin at any hour during the day, conditionally that the Milton wire is not otherwise engaged. As a general rule, the work on the MiltonDunedin wire is easier in the afternoon, and therefore Lawrence subscribers will find this the best time to -et connected with Dur.edin firms.
