INSTRUCTIVE PHOTOGRAPHS.
These photographs have been kindly lent by Messrs NELSON, MOATE & CO., Ltd., of Ceylon and New Zealand. They were taken recently while Mr Nelson was on the Estate watching the manufacture of the tea leaf, and will give the public some idea how tea is made and of the care necessary to produce good tea.
The complete set shows the tea being plucked, weighed in to the factory, withered, fermented, rolled and fired ready for packing into chests. Few people realise when drinking a cup of tea the time, care, and attention that is necessary in the production of good tea. It will therefore be apparent to all that good tea cannot be got at a low price.
