AERIAL NAVIGATION.
SAN FRANCISCO, January 13. During aviation week at Los Angelos, in California, Mir Glen Curtis, in a biplane, made a world’s speed record, travelling at a rate of 55 miles per hour, carrying- a passenger. Mr Curtis receives £IOOO for appearing for a week at Los Angeles, in addition to the prizes he may gain. M. Paulhan receives £SOOO appearance money. The latter made a 50-minutes’ flight, ascending to a height of 4600 ft.
