OTTAWA, January 13. The steamer Czarina of 1046 tons, ' owned by the Southern Pacific Company, : was wrecked in Clock’s Bay. j The crew clambered into the rigging, ■ but were swept out and 30 of them were : drowned. One hundred spectators watched from j the shore, but were powerless to help. MELBOURNE, January 14. The steamer Manawatu, of 183 tons, is j ashore at Anderson’s Inlet, i All hands are safe. The chances of refloating her are doubtj ful. ADELAIDE, January 17. : The ketches Bronzewing and Napperby collided in Largs Bay. The Napperby sank, but her crew escaped. The Bronze- | wing was damaged.
