Charm of the Cultured Voice.
No greater blessing can be bestowed upon a child than that individual training which will result in the possession of a well-modulated voice, careful speech, clear enunciation, and correct pronunciation. The voice, language and accent are
the best criterions of education and social standing. A firm, sweet, low voice, with evenness of tone and smooth, rich utterance, is very pleasing to the ear, and a high, nasal, rasping * voice is correspondingly disenchanting. The home more than the school is the place where by example of elders and persistence' arid: patience, coi-operative. be-tween mother and child, the well-cultivated voice may be acquired.
