Hutfc apiarists are being troubled with a strange disease that is killing off the bees at a rate that will deplete the hives to a serious extent. One resident at Taita confesses to have lost half of the bees he possessed, and is not too sure whether he will be able to save the rest. It is feared that the cause of the trouble is the dreaded Isle of Wright bee disease, which was first discovered by apiarists in the summer of 1904-, and has ravaged the bee counties of the South of England.
