FRISCO MAIL SERVICE.
XO LIKELIHOOD OF RENEWAL. AUCKLAND, October 1.

Again, the American sub^idi required was £70.000, which the United States Senate had~ refused. Mr Spreckels .had run the service at a loss, and at present there seemed no hope of its renewal. The only alternative was the Vancouver service. He also proposed to subsidise a fast steamer connecting with the Vancouvej steamer & Fiji. ' ~
