When Spring corae= knockng at yoai door, On her bosom frcst-gems hcjr. To your fireside quickly bring — Chafe the frozen hands of Spnng, Hold hei to your happy breast Proud that she is now your guc^t; Of all seasons she's the best. This gentle maiden, Spring. When Spring comes peeping thro' your door, Scatt'ring blossoms on the floor, — Love and sonj< and everything, — Kiss the laughing lips of Spring Thank her — soon she will depart; Praise her for her noble art; Look ye deep into her heart, And love this merry Spring. When Spring goes singing by your door, " Fiiend." farewell, my reign is o'er," Recollections sweet she'll bring — Give one tear for dying Spring. slimmer scon will on you smile.
