Tho attention of horse-owners is directed to the excellent programme issued by the Winton Jockey Club for their annual meeting-, which takes place on November 9 and 10. The principal event on the hrst day i* to be the Winton Cup, of 130sovs, one mile jiad a-quarter , and on the second day the Biithday Stakes, of llOsovs, one mile, will be the chief item. Other events on the prog-rtimme are as follows: — Hurdle Race, of 70sc»vs. 1^ miles; Trial Stakes, of 50sovs, ono mile; Time Trot, of 90i>ovs, two mile*; Welter Handicap, of 65sovs, six furlongs; Flying Handicap, of 75sov.<=s live furlongs; Handicap Trot, jf 75sovs, li miles; Tradesmen's Handicap, of 65sovs, seven furlongs; Hurdle Race, of 70sovs, li miles; Stewards' Pnrse, of 70sovs, six furlongs; Awarua Handicap, of 65sovs, six furlongs; Oreti Trot, of 80.soys, two milee ; County Handicap, of 50sovs, five furlongs; Dash Trot, of 70sovs, one mile; and P'arewelJ Handicap, of 65sovs, seven furlongs. Nominations are due on Friday, October 15; handicaps appear Friday, October 22; and acceptances on Friday, October 29.
