Another good hunter in Tyrannic won a race eaoh day. On the first day he won a flat race fiom ftndl to end, and on the eecond won a hurcftet race just as easily. C. Cress rode him in. the jumping race. These two are the best hunters seen out this season. Sir Lethe should have been at the Grand National meeting. Albert Goodman took five of J. W. Lowe's team to the meeting, and won with three. The two that failed were Soprano, by Menschikoff — Cissy, who was making her first appearance in public, and Iranui. who wag runner-up to Merrie Zenland each day. The Advance filly Advantage slipped her field on the first day, and -was beaten by a smart- horse m Purakau on the second day. Sea Queen, by St. Ambrose-Sequin, wen the Maiden. The other winner was Magneto.- by Merriwee — The Brook, wiho put down a moderale lot in the Scurry. Two big outsiders in Bravery, by Daunt-Evendaie. and Swallow, by Conqueror — Waiwhera, scored. Atanui, by Handsome Jack — Ata, won the first eteepkehasis anj broke down A good c >rt of hack in Merrie Land, by Mer.'ie Eugland! — Nai Nai, ran up to his form on the second day. Black Pearl, by Lateshell — Vi'-torme, won a gentlemen's ridi'rs" race on the s:cond day. All the North Island horses engaged at Blenheim have accepted except Toango, Cauldron, and Notorious. Half a dozen were shipped across to-day, and the balance will go on Monday.
