TRIANGULAR MATCHES. LONDON, June 16.

At a meeting of cricketers representing England, Australia, and South Africa at Lard's it was resolved, at the instance of Mr Hillyard, seconded by Mr Poidevin, to approve of the principle of triangular contests.

The meeting also unanimously adopted the following rider: — "In view of the arrangements made by England to visit South Africa in 1909-1910 and by South Africa to visit Australia in 1910-1911, an effort be -made to have the first- triangular matches played in England in 1912, subject to South Africa waiving her claim to come alone in 1912 ; and in order to further *this object England pledges itself to visit Australia in 1911-1912."
