(Fbom Our Own Correspondent.) GREYMOUTH, January 12. In connection with the Summit tunnel the pipes are all laid and connected up, and it is expected that the contractors will be working the electric power next Wednesday. Men are busy erecting a stonecrusher near tlie mouth of the tunnel, and breaking-down operations will soon be in full swing. About 23 chains of heading have been driven to., date, slaty rock still being met with, and the face is dry. Mr Reynolds is back to Otira, and Mr Murdoch M'liean is expected back in a week's time.
The Coventry Guardians^have decided that in future any tradesman whose accounts for work done for the board are proved to be overcharged shall be black- [ listed for 10 years.
