A SCIENTIFIC FACT
When the Blood is Bad, the Digestion is Bad. A New Zealand Woman who Suffered for Years with Indigestion, Tells how she was Cured. Good, red blood, blood well supplied with oxygen is absolutely necessary to healthy digestion. Upon the blood depends the proper flow of the digestive fluids, the activity of the muscles of the stomach and the assimilation of the digested food. That is why a debilitated, run-down condition so often brings on severe indigestion. The principle of the tonic treatment for indigestion is that it makes the blood rich and red, promotes a normal flow of gastric fluids, tones and strengthens the stomach and recovery is rapid and permanent. This principle was illustrated in the case of Mrs Mary Hall, 35 Queen street, Sydenham, Christchurch, who suffered with Indigetion until Dr Williams' Pink Pills cured her. A reliable reporter called on Mrs Hall, and this is what she said: — " Just on three years ago I began to suffer with poverty of blood," said Mrt Hall, " and very soon I had bad stomach trouble ; everything I ate gave me a nasty fullness in the chest. I felt worn out with the nasty headaches that came on in the back of my neck and forehead. I had to keep going, but hardly knew how to hold my head up. My appetite went right off, and I had to force myself to eat. I always suffered with my ner%es. At times the frights I got over trifles were really painful. Day after day I felt that languid and weary that I could hardly do my work. I was ailing like this for over twelve months, when one day, after reading about Dr Williams' Pink Pills, I made up my mind to try them. During the second box I felt my strength coming back. The headaches vanished, and I did not suffer with my stomach. Three boxes put me into the best of health." Dr Williams' Pink Pills are good for any complaint that a supply of rich red blood is good for, but one needs to be careful to get the genuine, as substitutes sometimes offered are uselos3. They are sold by most chemi&ls and storekeepers, price 3.9 per box; six boxes 16s 6d, or if they cannot be obtained locally will be sent post fiee on receipt of price by the Dr Williams Medicine Company of Austialasia (Limited), Wellington.
