At a meeting of local shareholders in the Bonithon Petroleum Company on the 11th it was decided to fall in with the Wellington and Wanganui shareholders in reconstructing the company, with a capital *of £25,000, none of which will be offered to the public. Operations will be resumed almost immediately. The total imports and exports at the breakwater last year were 79,234 tons as against 73,236 tons in 1907. The port revenue was £13,458, as against £13,206, and the number of passengers passing over the wharf 41,741, as against, 46,495.
