Monday Evening On Fxiclay Mrs Fisher gave an "At home" at her resu'once, St. C!air. m honour of her daughter, Mi=s Cora Fisher, who is to be married this week. Owing to the weather being ve-iy unsettled Mr Fisher's garden, which is so beautiful, could be very little enjoyed, as the incessant rain showers kept coming on and preventing people from going out«id,e. Mrs Fisher received her guests in the drawing room, the whole room, as well as the ball, being prettily decorated with flowers. Afternoon tea was partaken of in tho dining room, the tabl-e bsing baavrtifully decoratsd with pale pink and bright pink sweet peas. Mts Fisher was gowned in a handsome grey and white silk, beautifully trimmed with black lace and insertion. On Monday lest the Bland Holt Company opened their flret season in Invercarsriil in the Municipal Theatie, which was packed to the doors, many being turned away.
