At His Majesty's Theatre on the 6th intt. The Kilties' Band was responsible for another popular and enjoyable concert, vthich was thoroughly appreciated by the audienre. A marked feature of the Kiltie*' productions Is chat a different programme is gone through each evening, this acting as an admirable test of the efficiency I and combination wli.ch. they Lave secured . in their work under their conductor (?»lr I Albert Cook). A noticeably fiiis selection. in the performance noticed ■was the playing of the o\erture to Sciiubert's " RoaanvdiwLe," tliis standing easily on an. equal footing with the band's fine interpretation lof the "William Tell" o\ei>-ure a few weeks ago. A humours squ-s on '" lh.« Merry Widow " was alto moet acceptable, and an enjtr'acte consisting of a pot pourri of njotablie olaesios wt» perhaps, one 61 th© i most popuia-r ibe-ms of thd programme. Th* plan JobnstoiK; Troupe v,as responsible for som» fine dancing and pipe-play-ing, *»Tjd "The Kikic«' Choir" was in evidence with some pant singing. Th© performance, en il^s whole, is a really fine one, and much appreciated by lovers of music. A reify large gathering of orphans and children of poor parents were prese>n£ by invitation at the matinee performance. The children from the St. Yhioemt d« Paul Orphanage-, the Cav-ersttiam Industrial School, St. Mary'a Orphanage, end the Clyd.e Street Boys' Home attended rnas?e, but those * from the Presbytetfia.n Orphanage at Anderson's Bay are at present c.way oaonp|n#, under th'fe oare of £he Jjer.
