A few crossbred ewes in. the wool, of mixed ages, made lls 9d. There was a small entry of fai lambs, and the butchers- were the only buyers. There was limited competition, and prices were Is to Is 6d per head below the previous week's rates. Prime lambs made 14s 6d to 16s, a few extra to 17s 9d, and lighter lls 7d to 14s. Theie was a'so a short yarding of fat °heep, and the market opened well, but as the butchers required only small supplies, prices afterwards declined to last week's level. Only 161 bead of fat cattle were penned, a large proportion of which were of good to prime quality. There was a dull sale, and prices showed a further decline.
