The following table, compiled from the Customs returns, shows the gold exported from Dunedin ar.d its value for each of the 12 months of ihe past year: —
It will be noted that in October there was no gold exported. AUCKLAND GOLD RETURNS. AUCKLAND, January 4. During December the gold returns from the Auckland district mines reached a total of £108,250 5s Id. Thk shows an increase upon the output of £105,182 for November, but compared with tfie -yield (£113,984) for December, 1907, there is a falling off. The full return^ for the past year should be available during the current month. The December returns are made up as follows : — Ohinemuri, £103,843 Is 4d; Thames, £3730 3s 9d ; Coromandel, £677. j
