TARIFF REFORM.
LONDON, December 10.
Mr George Wyndham (•ex-Chief Secretary for Ireland), speaking at Liverpool, declared that when the Unionists return to power they will immeddately introduce a tariff reform Budget, -including a 2s duty upon wheat and a tax on meat, both with preference to the colonies. Personally he also favoured a tax on foreign wool, but no tax would be considered necessary. They would, however, awa't a conference between the colonies and the Motherland before legislating or would appoint a second commission to prepare a scientific Imperial tariff.
