'There is scarcely any demand for Canterubry lamb, which ■i 6 quoted at ,sid per ! lb; other than Canterbury, 5d Beef: Market dull. Supplies of River Plat chilled beef are heavy. "Prices are I firm for -home-killed beef. «On account of the quarantine -enforced against America, New Zealand beef is being lielfl sfor a rise 1 in price. Current quotations, ~3fd per lb for hindquarters and Z£d for Jforequarters. Butter.— Market quiet, but jrather steadier or a decline. There is more demand. Quotations: Choicest New JZea- : land butter, IQftj; .Danish, 115s; Austria. Han, 106s \ Siberian, 105s per cwt. ■ .Cheese. — Market dnll, *but holders are s firm. New Zealand aritokes are -quoted at - 56s Canadian 6"ls per Hemp.: M«uiket -tjuiet, with small business doing. sNo change in priors. Tie stodk tin London amounts to, 248 tons. Last week's output from Manila amounted 'to 21,000 bales. . 1 Cocksioot seed: Market quiet', A nominal quotation .being' 78s 'per awt. Hops. — There is a. great improvement in -tho_ market. A scarcity -of 'best 'quality dm anticipated on account of 'the general -and active demand. It is quoted at Bfc per owt, and American hops at 63s .per cwt. Wool.— >Ppr best wools rfche market, is •firm, with in upward tendency. -Eor inferior quality it is rather unsettled.
