The Feilding raoes were continued to-day in splendid weather. There was a good attendance. Twenty-one bookmakers were licensed, and the totalisator receipt* for the two days were £16,983, as compared with £27,318 for the spring meeting last year. The bookmakers' fees amounted to £810. Time, lmin 5 l-ssec. MANCHESTER HANDICAP. — Muskerry, 7.10, 1; Hiro, 6.8, 2; Truganini, 7.9, 3. Ako started : Moral, Tangimoana, Waitapu, White Lie. Sandstream, Lamsdorff. Won by two lengths. Time, 2min 6 3-ssec — a record for the course. CHELTENHAM HURDLES.— Mahoe, 10.7, 1; Paparaehf. 10.3, Z; Showman, 9.13, 3. Also started: Gold Dust, Oryx, Don Carlos, Xavier, Defeat. Oryx and Don Carlos threw their riders at the third hurdle, and Morris, the rider or Oryx, sustained an injury to his leg, but it is not serious. Won by a, neck. Time, 3min 18 4-ssec. RONGOTEA HACK HURDLES.— DniI, 9.10, 1; Peregrine. 10.7. 2; Yosaxni. 9.11. 3. Also started : Moose. Whimper. Won by two lengths. Time, 2min 51sec.
