HOSPITAL SATURDAY IN DTJNEDIM.
A veteran just back from a trip to the Home Country. Fifty-one years ago he was a marine on the Sanspareil, which furnished part of the Naval Brigade which Peel dauntlessly ed bsfore Lucknow. His chief fighting was done at the attack on Taku Forts, China. He afterwards settled in New Zealand. Although in his 74th year, ne took part in several otter hunts during his visit Home. He is a native of Bideford, noted in ancient history as a place where the Danes landed in 878. Bideford furnished seven ships to fight against the Spanish Armada.
