NELSON, December 3. The Charitable Aid Board last night rescinded a resolution admitting dilirium tremens patients to the. hospital, and gave a general ordeT that no such patient should be admitted in future, and that it delirium tremens developed in a patient already in the hospital he be promptly removed. , It was resolved to write to the Government absolutely refusing to treat "D.T." patients, and recommending the erection of a padded cell at the police station. The chairman said it was largely the fault of the police that "D.T." cases arose, as it was their duty to see that publicans did not sell too much liquor, and that all liquor should be of good quality. The house surgeon wrote pointing out the difficulty of a consumptive annexe caused by the dread of the public to have anything to do with ex-patients, who were shunned. It was resolved to approach the Government for the establishment of an additional convalescents' home, whither patients leaving the annexe partially cured might be sent.
