CHARITABLE AID BOARD.

The ordinary meeting of the Charitable Aid Board, held on Thursday afternoon* waa . attended by Messrs M. Stevenson (chairman), P. Miller, H. L. Tapley, J. H, , Walker, J. Mosley, John Ol«rke, John Mil!,. ■ and W. E. S. Knight. REPOBTB. The Finance Committee recommended! that' accounts as follows be passed for pajt ment:— Charitable aid, £850 17« 7d; dieV i tribution, £193 la 8d; Maternity Hospital? I £52 17s 9d. Receipts for the month were[ N shown at £42 5s sd. The bank booki showed a credit balance of £1745 18s 9dl" on October 21. — Adopted. : Dr Ritchie, in regard to the Matcrnityi I Hospital, reported that since September 26' I three patients had been admitted to the Forth Street Maternity Hospital. There ' had been two birth«, and seven patients '< had been discharged. There was at present) only one patif-nt in the hospital. Tlie Finance Committee in its report recommended accounts as follows : —Hospital Trustees, £1231 9s 2d ; Fever Hos« pital, £106 fo 9d ; Consumptive Sanatorium^ £77 18s. Receipts were shown at £439 7« Z<l. The bank books showed : Hospital, credit balance of £1356 4s 2d ; and Infectious Diseases Hospital, dr. £462 Is 2d on 21st inst. — Adopted. Dr Collier in her report on the Sanatorium at Rook and Pillar stated thad there -were at present 15 inmates (12 males and three females). Bhe was about to proceed to Dunedin on a. fortnight's leave of absence, and it wei proposed that D: 'Agatha. Adams should act as her locum; tenene. — The report waa adopied. BOCK AND PILLAR SANATORIUM.
