NEW ZEALAND KERNEL CLUB.
WELLINGTON, October 15. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Kennel Club was held in Wellington to-day. The balance sheet showed a credit balance of £32. Officers were elected as follows : — President, Mr Paul Hunter (Porangahau, Hawke's Bay) ; Executive Committee — Mr W. Ryan (Auckland), Mr R. S. Menzies (Dunedin), Mr W. F. O'Donnel (Manawatu) , Mr W. Jonson (Wellington) ; treasurer, Mr W. JonsoJi ; auditor, Mr C. J. Salter ; secretary, Mr H. Davey. It was resolved that in view of tho confusion existing as to what constitutes a challenge class, the class be defined simply as the first prizewinner in every class, these to be judged again in tho ring after the ordinary claBS certificates, and a challenge certificate to be issued by the New Zealand Kennel Club for any challenge. It was also decided to recommend that challenge classes of each breed be allotted each year.
