Some wreckage has been found on the West Coast, 30 miles south of Cape Maria. Van Diemen. There is a 6par about llim in diameter and 50ft long, also part of w bow scroll, all painted with redi hematite..' Parts ot the bow are painted white, but. there is no name. There is besides tv piece of a^oor, with a while centre and! a email flag divided vertically, one hal£ like a Union Ja«k and the other half dark! blue. A piece of American pine, which had* tvid'ently been used as a carpenter's bench! on some vessej, has been found at Oraawharo Bay, Great,Bar.rier.. Jtw ( as covered" t with '• barnacles, and had apparently been a long time adrift.
