PROBLEM 2614.
By E. Cresswell, Nottingham.
Black: 4, 7, king 22. White: 12, 20, king 30. > White to p3«y and draw. Problem 2579. Otago Witness (Black 4, 7 king 22. -White: 12, 16, king 21. Black to play and win) appeared in several Hoin^ papers, and gave rise to last week's problem (2613, by F. Chipper) and to the above. So we discover from the last Home mail. It will be observed that the only difference between "Mr Cresswell's problem and the other two mentioned is that the White King is xm 30 instead of 21, enabling White to draw. —De. Ed. O.W.
